The Fundamentals of Interface Motion.

Discover how easing, springs, gestures, and layout change the way a move feels. Open a lab, experiment, and see the variables at work.

How it feels

Every lab starts from a feeling. Snappy, heavy, late, sticky. You change one variable and the move either lands or it doesn't.

The words come after. Damping, overshoot, stagger. One starting point you can trust, not a catalog of easing names.

The labs

Eleven labs, one question each. Open any of them. The stage and the controls sit in the same view.

Knobs on the stage

Most motion guides describe the curve. Tactile lets you drive it. Drag a handle, watch the stage, and remember why the number exists.

Numbers you can take

Each lab leaves values you can paste: bezier points, spring ratios, stagger gaps. No history of animation. The variables that change how an interface feels.

The rest of the system

Tactile stops at motion. Grade is readable type. Cascade is tokens and theme.
